This is a page, mainly for my personal use, where I can keep some notes on my collection of West End Watches. Mainly I want to be able to date West End Watches from their serial numbers. All watches produced seem to have been numbered, however the records for the numbers are lost (or at least not online anywhere).
I have my grandfather's pocket watch, Dost made by West End Watch Company. Serial number is 3625369. Some years back it was over wound and since then it is not working. Where can I repair it?
Hi, any watchmaker should be able to fix that. Probably the hook at the end of the mainspring has broken off, or even perhaps just slipped out but certainly it won't hurt to get a new one on a watch that age.
